I see you succeeded on your winter ascent. Did you do the traverse to the north peak?

We're still waiting for avalanche conditions to improve before we take on the complete Timp ridge. This was just a day hike attempt via the Everest Ridge route. We made it to around 11,450 ft. but ran into problems on the ridge and decided it was too risky to continue. It was still a great hike and a fun ridge, despite failing to make the summit.

I see. Good luck. Timp is one of those mountains that is a trail hike in summer, but can be a real bear in winter. Doing 6,000 feet altitude gain in a day is still pretty darn good for January.
