Red Mountain as seen from the vicinity of Kendall Katwalk to the southeast on October 23, 2002. Note the notch in the East Ridge. The west side of this notch requires class 5 climbing to get up. It's not "minor scrambling" as Fred Beckey says. Beware if you go this way.

He's wacky like that. He's gotten me into a bit of trouble more than once with his "minor scrambling" notes.
