Rossi e Volante Bivouac Hut

Rossi e Volante Bivvy at 3787m near top of little rock buttress on southern flank of Roccia Nera summit of Breithorn. My son Keith and I spent the night hear before climbing Castor 4223m and Pollux 4092m on 11th September 2014. This is also a good launch point for traverses of the Breithorn summits - and is just about 2 hours of easy glacier walk from Kleine Matterhorn cable car station (NB hidden crevasses - advisable to rope up) This hut is supposed to accommodate 12 maximum - we had 13 our first night, but just 4 on 2nd. It is advisable to secure place early - and in peak season I'd take a tent!
