"Ninja Tortoise" remains Grateful

A tortoise who was "expected" to survive in the wilds of central AZ has found its home. This species of tortoise is found on the southern edge of the Sahara desert in northern Africa, and is NOT native to the chaparral and pine uplands of Arizona. Indeed, and forgot to mention ---

Its specific name "sulcata" is from the Latin word sulcus meaning "furrow" and refers to the furrows on the tortoise's scales.

Not that it resembles a Roman gladiator !
