let me be the first to vote, though it is partly on my own work and you probably are not finshed yet uploading. The clearly structered subgoups, lists and especially maps are once again astonishing!
Thanks Mathias! I'll have to look for the hut links still. And that boring Getting There Section needs to be written too. Do you know any more books or map which I could list here? It's a rhetorical question of course ;-)
Thanks Dean! I'm afraid that there are oh so many guidebooks about Hohe Tauern out there. There seems to be no need for us. On the other hand this is an overlooked section of the range - very quiet
You're not known for being patient, are you? Fact is that I really have to search for the photos. So far I had only concentrated on maps and text. Which btw isn't finished yet. It might take another age to check out the picts.
I was just making a joke. You know me, immature at soooo many things.
A couple of things I find interesting:
1. That GROUP pages haven't caught on in the U.S. Perhaps its a European thing. Part of my methodology in creating pages is to skip around Washington state, as is my nature outside of this site.
2. That every little bump and ridge in Europe seems to have a name, as your pictures and many mountain pages indicate. 1,000s of years of history, I guess. The same issue goes for the UK (example). Because of this, I can see the reason GROUP pages might be popular over yon.

I suppose that onc you have got it (grouping) started it's hard to stop. And yes - every pillar has its name. If not it is called something like Punta Innominata or Cima Senza Nome. Which in the end becomes the official name. But the amazement goes back to you. I find it hard to understand that so many US peaks are called UN 13.898. But I can understand that naming them today will be pretty difficult. Too many people will want to have a say.
Thanks Bor, also from Mathias if I might say so. I just don't get to looking at my photos for some more pictures on the page. But Mathias has started posting his...
Thanks Tim! As I just found out: the problem with joint efforts is that you have to change things as you discuss them. So it's going to take another day or two to finish the page. Quite unusual. ;-)
Another great group page, this time as a joint effort! Congratulations to both of you, Gangolf, and Mathias! Now I succeeded to read it through, but I must see pictures on my home computer.
Perhaps one suggestion. As the page is very comprehensive it is hard to find links to distinct summit pages. So I would do a section somewhere on the top of this page: Existing SummitPost Pages - with all links gathered.

Untitled CommentNice pictures of arteries and veins in the human body. Were you going to put up any mountain scenery photos?
