Water Bouldering

Water Bouldering

Besides wandering mountains one of my passions is water. It is pure pleasure to combine the two. Often we sail into areas that allow for good hiking & bouldering right from the deck our 30' sailboat. Such was the case in these two pics by Catherine where I've climbed a short 'open-book' crack to dive off the nearby ledge. Repeat this technique over and over for a great day of bouldering and diving. The rocks are Pallisades area, Colville Indian Reservation, southern toe of the Kettle River Range; water is Columbia River, Lake Roosevelt, NE Washington State.

Nice!

No need for expensive pads when you've got deep water!

Re: Nice!

Yeah, I love this. Try to go there each year for my birthday and spend a few days climbing and diving.

Re: Gave you a 10

I agree. I'll tell Catherine she got a "10" for the image and I'll work on my technique. I love this kind of practice...
