Waterton Elk Herd

Waterton is known for the size of its elk herds. Herds of 800 animals have been seen. Had I been more patient, I would have had a picture of the elk filling this field. I got out of my van before there was proper light for a picture and by the time the lighting was sufficient, the herd had wandered to the far end of the field.
