"After the first glass, you see things as you wish they were. After the second, you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, which is the most horrible thing in the world."

HourglassGreat day on Little Bear. Definitely helps when you are the first party of the day to summit. Little bit of water in the Hourglass but great conditions other than that. My least favorite part was the gully coming up from Lake Como. Nasty stuff!

Fun routeFun 4th class climb through the hourglass, now I want to come back and do it again in the winter. It took me 5hrs round trip from lake como.

HourglassThe hourglass was full of water and got a bit off route above it for some tougher climbing. Followed the correct route down. Much longer and tougher day than I had expected.

cool climbNot much snow in the Sangres this year. Ice and hard snow to reach the ridge. The hourglass had ice up/down the center but bare to the left. Pseudo-repelled through the stream on the way down. Would like to ascend the north ridge one day.
