| Starting at Guenella Pass, I headed down into the willows. This was before they built the boardwalk, so I fight through the wet willows and swampy ground. But once through the hike was easy to the summit. Done this route two other times after they built the boardwalk. | |

| I arrived the afternoon before my hike up Bierstadt so I decided to sit at Guanella pass an watch returning hikers wander their way through the willows, I noticed a pattern of direction with hikers who seemed not to be lost providing me with a good idea of the route, It worked! | |

| Did this one and the Sawtooth traverse in the same day to summit Evans. Awesome weather maybe a little on the hot side. Got off trail and bushwacked it on the way down. Could have gone without that little adventure through the willows. | |
