On the second day of our tour, we started from Mullerhutte, via the Wilder Freiger towards our camping. Nice ridge towards the summit. Going down was endless rock :)

Normal route from Müllerhütte  Sucess!

We arrived late at the Müllerhütte so we decided to skip the Wilder Freiger, instead we started waiting for dinner. When we heard that dinner was postponed for 30 minutes there was again a chance that we could climb the Wilder Freiger before dinner and darkness. We quickly grabbed the necessary equipment and left the hut while we had nearly 2 hours. Within 1 hour we reached the summit, and went back fast to be on time for dinner.

From the Müllerhütte  Sucess!

to Becherhaus, over the Signalgipfel, over the ridge to the Wilder Freiger. Unfortunatly barely any mountain was visible due to mist and lots of clouds.

Route Climbed: traverse from muller to Nurnburger hut Date Climbed: july 2005  Sucess!

Had climbed Zukerhutl and Wilder pfaff the previous day on firm snow but despite an early start the glacier crossing was horribly soft. All the guided parties went elswhere. Easy ridge to the signalgippfel doesnt really need fixed ropes but blimey the descent to the Nurnburger goes on forever!

Route Climbed: via Sulzenau hut Date Climbed: July 18, 1998  Sucess!

Hiked to the top from the valley, then stayed at the hut that night. Interesting weather, storms all around but sunny on the Freiger.

Route Climbed: From North Date Climbed: 6.8.2001  Sucess!

It was my first experience with walking on a glacier. The weather was very cloudy which makes walking very easy but the view was not so good. Maybe next time.

We made the way down to the Becherhaus.

Route Climbed: south face Date Climbed: 08/14/1998  Sucess!

We had slept at the Müller Hut and climbed the Freiger via the steep snow field which basically leads directly from south to the summit. Perfect views (see pictures). We descended to the Sulzenau Hut via Grünau Lake.

Route Climbed: From Ranalt via the Nurnberger Hut, over the Gamsspitzl Date Climbed: Aug 2000  Sucess!

This is an excellent mountain, we climbed up to the Nurnberger hut early in the Morning, booked our room, dropped our bags off and walked over the ridge behind the hut (Niederl) we took some amazing pictures of the Wilde Freiger and then scrambled up the Mairspitze 2775m, well worth the extra effort.

We set off at about 6am from the hut and it was worth it to see the sun rise. There was alot of other people on the mountain but it was still an enjoyable trip, with stunning views from the rocky summit.
