Will the real Sheep Rock please stand up ? | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] | |||
Sheep Rock (left) and the Tower of Babel (right) take their "stand" in the Courthouse Towers section of UT's Arches National Park. After hours of research (and examining maps), I finally found out what these awesome formations were called, without having to "brawl it out" with other Sp-members within that legendary arena where BETA is KING !!! For crying out loud, I HOPE I got the names of these formations correct. Pardon me, can I please go outside and flip some burgers now ??? ?? (I also believe Courthouse Wash separates these two formations, even though EVERYTHING is (somehow) connected in the Universe. RIGHT?) Have a nice upcoming weekend, folks, and please drive safe out there! : )) April 26, 2009 These formations owe their existence to an underground salt bed called the Paradox Formation, which was deposited close to 300-million years ago - "Oh, Mister Ranger ...?" |
