This trailhead marks the start of the Williams Creek Trail route up UN 13,832 & UN 13,811 and also provides access to a few 12ers, including Grassy Mountain and Red Mountain.
Drive south on SH-149 from Lake City until you reach the right turn for Lake San Cristobal and Cinnamon Pass. Set your odometer here and drive past the lake, reaching the small Williams Creek Trailhead at 6.7 miles. This is parking available here for a few vehicles. Be sure not to confuse this trailhead with the Williams Creek Campground about a quarter-mile further up the road.
"This is blood for blood and by the gallon. These are the old days, the bad days, the all-or-nothing days. They're back! There's no choice left. And I'm ready for war."
