| Larry Laverty | Yosemite Falls ![]() | |
| Days gone by. The 70's. No need for a trail. We'll just go straight up. So we did. Every now and then we'd come to a piece of the trail and relish its ease but then it would be right back to the climb. Today, with the sheer numbers who travel this road in mind, it'd be a different story. | ||

| Hiked this trail twice. Once for fun, other time to fix the lines down into the notch with Lost Arrow Spire (was climbing LASD for a few days after). Made the tyrolean traverse a reality. | ||

| Serious thunderstorm made for a wet one although virtually no one on the trail. Poor visiblity at summit due to thick precipitation. Gorgeous valley views on the descent as rain cleared. Yosemite love | ||

| Big snow year in winter 2010-11 led to wonderful falls in spring 2011. Thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful hike, despite lots of company. Considerable snow still on top. | ||

| nice trail. I did it once in winter and the falls formed a weird snow/ice pyramid at the bottom that you can get over to | ||

| Did eastern scramble up to Sunnyside Bench to top of Lower Falls. Class 3 section too much for us, and kept us from the Upper Falls. Lots of power views and the only people we saw were SAR people looking for 'George'. Hope he is OK. | ||

| akhiker | Late start...but still made it! ![]() Date Climbed: May 28, 2009 | |
| Got a late start up the trail, made it to the top around 4pm in the middle of a huge thunder and lightning storm...next time will be smarter-up by noon, down by 2! Amazing views of the valley and half dome on the way up, the rocks can be very slippery on the way down. | ||

| The hike to the top of Yosemite Falls is my favorite in the park. I have done it many times in all seasons, camping out on several occasions at the top of the upper falls. | ||

| Thought I was in good shape and got educated in the truth. This was a beautiful hike but definitely start early and train for the continuous uphill walking. I will always remember the feeling of exhausted thighs when I reached the top. Well worth it. | ||

| Hiked a couple of summers ago. Start early to avoid the heat and take lots of water. The views are tremendous. Highly recommended for a day hike in the valley. | ||

| Lots of switchbacks up the trail, and it gets moderate crowds (like everything else in Yosemite) but worth it. | ||

| Sharon | "potholes" at top ![]() Date Climbed: Sep 22, 1994 | |
| Done to access Lost Arrow Tip. Hike enjoyable in it's own right. River very low: mostly "potholes", some filled with water. Very interesting to see what the river is like before it becomes Yos Falls. Unbelievable view at night of Valley lights from nearby Yosemite Point. Trailside scar still visible where a section peeled off some years ago, killing hikers. Partners: Steve Reynolds, Jochem & Beate Becker | ||

| A group of 7 from our camp made this charge up Yosemite Falls in 3 hours. We temporarily missed the correct trail at the TH, but it turned out well because we spotted a bear in the process. Once we hit the trail we made good progress to the top. We were paced by my 7-year-old son. Of course, unlike the rest of us, he only had to haul his 45-pound carcass to the top! I was so proud of him for hiking strong to the top. We took plenty of pictures and swam in the creek above the bridge (where it wasn't dangerous). Great day. Great hike. | ||
