All that for 3 hours round trip and 20 minutes at the summit.

Re: $$$I was "afeered" that day having read all the dire warnings and seen the wind map of the U.S. which shows this as a sort of vortex. So before ascending the Amonnoosuc this enquiring mind asked the station mistress if we could pay 1/2 price for the descent. She said we could insure ourselves by paying up full price at the bottom and riding down later. Trecked up and down in my T-shirt and tennis shoes as per usual.
