Nice work!

That route is confusing indeed....I had to descend it blindly when it was all snow covered after I did the West Arete and to make things worse...it was getting dark!

Re: Nice work!

I can't imagine trying this route with snow or fading light.

Your video is fantastic!

I remember going up that trail to Lake Constance in the dark. And to see what that mountain looks like in late season...What a pile of junk it is without the snow! Last time I was there was June, 1989. I slid on a snowfield before the Finger-Tip Traverse and barely stopped before plunging over that 1,700 foot drop. I was totally freaked after that. I don't think I'll ever go back. This is a serious mountaineering objective, even by the easiest routes. Can't believe your buddy did it in light hikers. Nice job.

Re: Your video is fantastic!

That sounds like a very close call. Scary! My friend Dave is sort of a badass, but humble as well. He's the only older gentleman I hike with that can consistently keep up a fast pace.

Amazing.

Far beyond my comfort zone, though.

Re: Work of art

Thanks! That's a big compliment. Inner Constance had been on my most wanted list for some time now. I'd love to get up there. My guide book makes it sound like there's a pitch of rotten rock at the end which would probably require a rope. Know anything else about it?
