Re: Old SchoolSure was. He sat there for a while, as if scouting his next moves - or perhaps posing so that I could take pictures - then he was off, free soloing as fast as lightning!

Wow!I didn't know they had Komodo Dragons in Malta. You want to watch out - nasty vicious brutes. And as the late Douglas Adams observed don't even think of pulling ones tail!

Re: Wow!A bit smaller than a komodo dragon this one, and a whole lot more agile. My best guess is that this is a Maltese Wall Lizard (Podarcis filfolensis), and a small one at that.
