would it

be easier to use those chains then rope there? There are many routes secured by chains in Tatra and they are very comfortable.

Actually thats what I did, since I am the one on the picture. If you look closely, you see my right hand is on the chain.
We secured the rope static at full distance, without any belays when going down, in case you fall even having a grab at the chains, you'd not fall more than 30 meters.

oh I see..I asked because it doesn't seem to be very steep descent.I suppose it is photo impression.

The passage on the picture was one of the rather not so steep ones, but falling there wouldn't be fun because there are serious drops to each side of the ridge. There are some passages that are steeper.
