Almost back at the Schöllijoch

I've almost completed my side trip from the Schöllijoch to the Barrhorn twins. The signpost at the saddle is right ahead. What this photo also clearly shows is the top of the snow coloir directly south of the signpost. That's pretty steep, and the cornice adds to the danger. Fortunately, from the signpost there is a safer way down the cliffs on the left: an exposed but easy scrambling route, secured by steel cables and a ladder. 20 July 2012.
