Great work, Vid. The maps are really wonderful.

I've found a good, detailed group list for Styria on the Steiermark homepage. You may find it helpful, when new mountains and subgroups will come (it helped me with Stuhleck). And it is as official as it gets :-) no alpine authority, though.

Good work

Vid,
I like your page quite a lot. Very clear to me. I just miss some nice 'amusement' photos among the text...nice birdeye photos from whatever summit with wide views...
Further, good job trying to keep an order in the SP structure.

Re: Good work

Thanks, John! This is what we started quite in the beginning of structuring SP pages. Now with SPv2 its much easier. But I'll still maintain this page.

Consider to add the map from
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild:Alps_-_Regions_%28Eastern_Alps%29.png
that is more or less the same as http://www.bergalbum.de/uebersichtskarte_ostalpen.htm

Re: map

Well, as on the page there is already the link on your second address, I don't see much reasons to add another one. But thanks for pointing this out!
Cheers!

To Do:

In the table add:
Murzsteg Alps

On the map, add:
Livigno Alps
Murzsteg Alps
Mattjisch Horn

Re: Alps - Eastern Part

Thanks Cyrill!
I noticed that we still have almost nothing for Plessura Alps. So I linked in the table Mattjisch Horn, which is in the group. Yes, still a lot to post ;)
Cheers, Vid

Re: Alps - Eastern Part

Do you have info's over this area (Plessur Alps)? That would be very good! Please write something

Re: A joke?

That's a bit unusual, yes. But anyone can attach anything. All those 4000-ers are of course not in Eastern Alps, but Bernina is. Hm?

Re: A joke?

I could, but why? 3000-ers can stay, alpine huts can stay as well. These both apply also to Alps Eastern part.

I think those pages can stay attached.

Re: A joke?

You're very persistent, Borut. Honestly, I like clear classifications, order and valuable information. So, if there were area pages, mountain pages etc., where there would be doubts where they belong, I would take a definitive attitude. Put them on the West or on the East, but not both.

Albums on SummitPost are something which I prefer not to use. OK for personal memories, as containers of pictures, but not for "more serious" posting. Let's say, that an American creates an album "My Europe Mountaineering", and its content is a bit of Pyrenees, a bit of Alps and a bit of Scandinavia. He can attach that to all three regions, even if he spent in Scandinavia only a week and in Alps a whole month. It's anyway only an illustration, saying: "Look, I was here".

It's sad that Cyril's intention is wider. He wants to do and show lists of "famous" mountains, huts etc. So, a recommendation, what us more valueble in comparaison to the rest. I wouldn't do albums for that. If we had a page of Alps, his content would go there, but he's not fortunate enough, so he must post his Switzerland here and there.

I didn't answer you, I know. Sp, to conclude: I don't like it, but I'm just fine tolerating it. By the way, did you write to Cyril? He's the right address, if something has to be improved.

Cheers!
Vid
