Thanks Nelson! Of course you can take the idea. And you don't need to give credits for that. It was my intent to propagate the idea of interactive maps since creating them for Dolomites, Julian Alps, Hohe Tauern, etc.
uh oh! Vid, do you know what you're doing here? It looks like a permanent job just to keep this page up to date. But yes, that is exactly what is needed.
When will you do the mountains of the world overview? Or do you want to start with Europe first?

I think I have enough material for some group pages and an interactive map, like the the one on this page is an excellent way to give the visitor a good overview of the area.
The first group/area I had in mind was the mountains in the southern Puna in Argentina and Chile.
Nice idea , You , Bor , Velebit ... inspired me by Your great work on the Julian Alps. I'm thinking about doing something similar in the Carpathian range , or at least some parts of it. I have some questions , as the height of the group you use height of hte highest mountain (as far as i know it is so , but just to be sure) ? and what do you use as Latitude/Longitude of the group ?

Untitled CommentI think this is a really great idea! Every major range and/or subrange should have a page like this.

Untitled CommentToo late for inclusion in the 1911 Britannica but worthy of that effort. Learned about the Reisskpfel.
