The Peaks of Ansel Adams Wilderness
Ansel Adams through his photography has been and always will be a wonderful ambassador for the beauty that is Yosemite National Park. It's only appropriate that wilderness land adjoining the park be named in his honor. I just visited the top of Mt. Lewis, the first peak I've stood on in the wilderness. I look forward to having a look from the top of others!
Clyde Minaret was my first, been ticking off subsequent since then. Gorgeous area!

Beauty both grand and subtle
I've hiked around from north to south, west and east, even flown over a couple times. Still feels like I have only scratched the surface.

Awesome Ansel Adams
Hiked through the Ansel Adams Wilderness via the JMT in July 2015. Thousand Island Lake, Emerald Lake, Ruby Lake, and Garnet Lake are just a few of the awesome alpine lakes dotting this pristine wilderness area. Memories to last a lifetime.
We wandered off the JMT to explore this magnificent landscape. The likes of Muir, Clyde and King once showed the way here. "Missing in the Minarets" makes for a great pre-trip read.
Hiked from June Lake to Little Yosemite Valley via Ansel and the Ritter group. Extraordinary place.

1000 Island Lake
Hiked many miles in this beautiful area of the Sierra. Especially love the Ritter Range and the Minarets. Plan to spend more time there in years to come.
