What a striking image.
Thanks Gimpilator, it was worth watching every second of it. At first the sun set colors were fading away which I was saddened to see, but then suddenly the clouds to the west shifted allowing the mountain side of Mount Baker to glow a nice gentle pink color. The South Twin was certainly worthy of a visit.
Yeah, that delicoius pink, you never know when it's going to appear. On the hill, I've only twice experienced it. The first time in the Apennines. Got a work buddy to climb with me. Sun goes down, then this blinding pink comes out and totally freaks my colour sense, and he says - I can see why you are up here every weekend. He was Irish (the luck of the Irish).
Thanks! It was worth waiting for.
Sure thing. :-)
