Beautiful PhotographWhere is Duck Lake. I looked all over the Gore Range Map, and couldn't find it.

Re: Beautiful PhotographDuck Lake in in an unnamed basin just below Mt. Powell about two-thirds of a mile ENE of the summit with an elevation of 11,790 feet. It is one of the few glacial fed lakes left in CO. Beautiful and remote place

Thank youI found it on the map - wow, it looks like a lot of bushwhacking to get there. This is worth visiting

Re: Thank youThere isn't any bushwhacking if you get to it by coming from Piney Lake and heading over Kneeknocker Pass and then over a second unnamed pass just south of the Lake. However DO NOT continue to the east and descend the Black Creek drainage as we did (to cross the Gores from W to E) That drainage is awful.
Yes it's worth a visit though. See this TR if you wish for my account of that trip.
