Approach

The starting point is the pass Sella di Sompdogna (Sedlo Rudni vrh) (1389m) which is approachable from over the road from the valley Dogna (Dunja). We can also reach the pass from the end of the road in the valley Saisera (Zajzera).

Route Description

In few minutes you reach nearby alpine huts and proceed through woods toward north. A well marked path brings you in several curves up to the altitude of 1800 meters where rests of buildings from the World War I are. In one of them a cute bivouac is arranged. Now you are on an open terrain.

Here you can see the start of the route number 649 that is marked for the whole ridge of the Naborjetskih gora. The route first goes up a bit and then comes to the smashed south ridge of the first summit of Piparji. The we cross the big scree to the start of steep channel where we climb with help of security. Then with the help of iron rope we come on the grassy slopes and in few minutes we are on the airy summit.

We descend over the same route or over the route that comes from the west side. This route also comes back on the pass Sella Sompdogna.

Essential Gear

Good hiking shoes, helmet and rope for not good climbers.
