Besides its outstanding beauty, Şesul Craiului-Scăriţa-Belioara (RO) represents one of the most valuable and spectacular landscapes both in the Apuseni Mts and Romania. 

Established in 1941 with an area of 130 ha, this geobotanic nature reserve protects upland plateau named Şesul Craiului, pristine woodland of Scăriţa massif and fascinating gulch guarding the springs of Belioara creek.
