Everst Summit panorama -looking west, May 19, 2012

During our discussions about his Everest photos from this spring, RobSC mentioned that his friend, Tom Burton, had a beautiful Everest summit shot that I might enjoy annotating. Shouldn't-a told ME that! =;^O So, here it is! Many thanks to Tom for getting there and taking the shot, to Rob for hooking me up and getting permission to post and annotate the pic, and also to Guenter Seyfferth, creator of Himalaya-Info.org, the BEST site on the internet for information about the Himalaya and Karakorum, who provided valuable input and corrections on my earlier peak IDs. Interestingly, one of the toughest "peaks" to ID was Kala Pattar! Rob tried to explain where it was to me several times, but having never been there I kept messing up the location. I FINALLY got it right, according to Rob! Please enjoy this pic, and if anyone has any Himalaya or Karakorum pics that they would like me to tackle, please send me a PM here.
