Fruiting Coltsfoots

Coltsfoot (Tussilago farfara) is a perennial herb from the family Asteraceae. Its dandelion-like flowers are bright yellow and emerge before the leaves in early spring. Later pappus is formed and simple dry fruits containing seeds appear.
