See the page of Monte Perdido
for approach to Torla and Ordesa and the normal route
to approach to refuge of Griz.
Trailhead: refuge of Góriz.
Time to summit: 3h 40min.
A very interesting circular route is the climb of Punta de las Olas across the col superior de Góriz and the climb of Soum de Ramond from there.
To access to the summit of Punta de las Olas you can see the normal route
of this mountain.
Summit of Punta de las Olas (3002m, 2h 30min). We descend across a hard ramp of stones to the great terrace (2800m). We walk among great rocks in a former glacier terrain leaving the peaks of Baudrimont in right side and the summit of Soum de Ramond in left side, to reach the col under the Soum de Ramond near of waterfall (or ice terrain) to turn to south direction (north) for some little terraces to the last ramp of stones. In a zig-zag in a very hard slope under the col of Monte Perdido we reach the upper side near of the ridge what join with the col. Under the last ridge is a simply walk in SE direction to reach the summit.
The descent is across the same route or the coulouir NW.
IMPORTANT: you can climb the mountain in it traveled through inverse, climbing across the coulouir NW and descending across the great terrace and Punta de las Olas to return to Góriz (to me personally I like more this hike because the more difficult is in the beginning and then it's easiest). When we descent from Pta de las Olas is important to have a lot of attention to search the point to descend the wall (easy in the climb, more difficult to see in foggy days in the descent).
Crampons and ice-axe early in the season and in winter time.
