Großer Angelus

Großer Angelus

With changing conditions over time, by 2014 the normal route followed the NW ridge, the base of which is on the far left. It doesn't lead directly to the top, but to the E-W oriented summit ridge some 200 m west of the summit. The crux of the route is the rocky lower part of the ridge, on the far, far left in this image. It's much easier than it looks though. According to the guidebook it's UIAA grade I. My own estimate is that it might be II in a couple of places, but mostly easier than I. 29 Aug 2014.
