Actually the landing was a quite spacious ledge. It was just easier to hop off a short traverse to the ledge than to do the fine moves required to get there.

Re: looks like funIt seems like there is a ledge 2 or 2.50 m below where he took off. As well one of you could have helped him by putting your shoulders. Did he landed well? Did he injure himself?
By the way, I've done a similar move wearing crampons and landing on a steep hard snow patch

YEEEE HAAAAAAI used to do stuff like that with an external frame Kelty Tioga but I got out of that habit very quickly.
