Karbunkulový hrebeň

Karbunkulový hrebeň (Karbunkulový ridge) with most impressive Jastrabia veža (2137 m) on the right. The ridge is of IIIrd grade UIAA and it takes about 2 hours of climbing (to Belasé sedlo). To the left of Jastrabia veža there are: Predný Kopiniak (2250 m); Prostredný Kopiniak; Zadný Kopiniak (2257 m; summit not in the photo); Malý Kolový štít (2276 m); then there is deep saddle Belasé sedlo; Belasá veža (2290 m); Zmrzlé sedlo and finally on the left edge of the photo Zmrzlá veža (2311 m). Rock Face with snow

This appears to be a very difficult route, but the fresh snow
gives off some wonderful light and softens up the hard surfaces.

You're right, the fresh snow added special light and what is more, the sun was partly hidden - this soft light was the outcome. I too was impressed by this view - this is why I took the photo :) The ridge is not very difficult - in summer. Cheers Tomas :)
