Khachkar Archeway, Haghpat Monastery, Armenia

Khachkars (cross-stones) is the traditional Armenian form of stone-carving art. They come in all sizes, from palm-sized to as large as a house wall. The arched passageway and bridges are also vintage Armenia. The Haghpat moastery (a.k.a. Akhpat) was built in X-XIII centuries 1982
