Machame Route
6 nights in changing weather, very few tourists on the route, five-six on my itinerary. A great trip up to a freezing snow covered sunny summit, with great views and nature.
Exciting Machame route trek. Top summited at 06:17 am in strong freezing wind.

Machame Route
did the hike with Concern Challenges (charity group), organised by Action Challenge with co-operation with tanzanian Ahsante Tours. Brilliant people, well experienced guides and great organisation. 32 out of 37 hikers made it to the top. The hardest challenge of my life...seriously.

Rainy and Snowy
Did the Machame route with Zara tours. It rained every single day. It was our guide's 210 summit. He said of all of them our summit day was the most snowy and cold of them all. Our guide also guided Chelsea Clinton.

Fundraising Climb Machame Route
Felt like I was cheating with porters, but I joined the trip last minute with a group of inexperienced trekkers! Still was an amazing experience, and definitely stoked my interest in making other big ascents.
Lucked out with gorgeous summit weather, clear -8C and dead calm.

Via Machame route
Summited via the Machame route. We had consistently bad weather and over half a meter of fresh snow and high winds in the Barafu camp prior to our summit day. Luckily the summit day itself was clear and sunny. Perfect views, so lucky!

Five months in Moshi and lots of time on Kili. Happy to take people up and show them some of the secret spots. Recommended route: Rongai to Northern Circuit, finish on Western Breach with a day to hike around the crater.

Marangu, 6 days
Went up Marangu with my sister. We took an extra day for acclimatization and went up to Zebra rocks. Our pace seemed painfully slow on the first day, but you get used to it. Neither of us felt the elevation until we got to Kibo, and even then it was mild. This was even true for my sister, who had not been able to spend any time above 3,000 ft in the months leading up to the climb. Fortunately, we both felt great above Gilman's Point and the entire experience was incredible.
