You can reach L'Erié by :
- A9 Highway, exit Martigny/Fully
- at Fully, the little road of Chiboz
- then, the road without practicable coating of Randonne.

Route Description
At L'Erié starts the splendid path of Sorniot , under the south-eastern wall of Chavalard...
The most current way to arrive at the top of the Grand Chavalard follows the southern edge.
One reaches that point by the Erié-Sorniot way. It is necessary to find the passage which goes up towards the avalanche barriers right before leading to Sorniot.
The path climbs initially on the south-eastern face and crosses the avalanche barriers. Sloping but without particular difficulty, it skirts then the southern edge until the top by getting unforgettable sights on the Valley of the Rhone, 2000 meters lower!
