I am glad to see this mountain added to SP.
Call me when you add your pictures. I will be glad to up my vote.
I've always considered climbing this mountain for the solitude and view. It's nice to see more info on it. SP might be exclusive on this thanks to you. Thanks for adding this often overlooked jewel of the San Juans.
This ones definitely on my to-do-list. When....., I have no idea, I seen from the summit of Sneffles and know the views from there must be excellent. Scott, what kind of vertical is involved from the approach you describe.
Good page, but it could still use more pictures.
Very nice page and a very nice peak. Good job and good climbing to you!
Good route selection! I hope to go there next year.
Thank you so much for this information. We spend much of the summer at a cabin with a view of Lone Cone from our window and have often wondered about the possibility of climbing Lone Cone. Beautiful pictures. Thanks!
just got to love the name....
Climbed North Ridge this August, as far as directions go you just take 145 to 44ZS (lone cone road?) to Beef Trail Rd to FR611 to FR612, theres a small pull out with a Forest Service sign at the start of the trail. I drove my Honda subcompact the whole way without incident.
