Looking West from the summit of Dereše (2003 m): Skalka (1980 m) (meaning 'small crag, rock') (closed 16 October - 30 June) on a side ridge, Kotliská (1940 m) and Chabenec (1955 m) along the main ridge of the Lower Tatras. 16 March 2012
Instead of the customary 4-day 'suffering' that we love to put ourselves through in the winter along the Donovaly-Certovica ridge, we were greeted by fantastic conditions. Neither crampons nor snowshoes were really necessary this time.
