Clearing Storm over Ama Dablam This is Ama Dablam, a spectacular mountain in the Solu-Khumbu region of the Himalaya. I took this from a high ridge near Island Peak Base camp in the region most famous for the trek to Everest. Fifteen minutes before this I was surrounded by fog and visibilty was 20 feet. The fog magically cleared at the peak of alpenglow light and I felt extremely lucky to get this image.
