Last of the 4 for the day. What an awesome ridge! Lots of people descending Bross together made me go further south to the southern most descent trail. This paid off, as we watched dozens of people send rock down on each other, "ROCK," descending the main descent couloir.
My first 14'er excursion -- hiked the "Decalibron" route to knock off three ranked 14'ers plus Cameron.
Good wintertime snow conditions. Very cold, windy, and cloudy. Not much to see from the summit. Still a fun day outside.
Hey, a 14ner is still a 14ner. Reminds me about the reply to the question concerning the quality of a particular "love" encounter....."The worst I ever had was GREAT"!
Easy walk up from Kite Lake; also did Lincoln & Democrat.
Ended loop with Bross. The descent back to Kite Lake sure could use some CFI Intervention. Sending them a donation soon!
Already had Democrat. Finished the loop.
did this one back when i was 12 or so
With 12 year old and 10 year old. Did Lincoln, Cameron, and Bross. According to the Gerry Roach book, there was suppose to be a trail back down through the Cameron Amphitheatre. Never really did find it.
Not much snow left! #30
I enjoyed meeting all the pikas on the slopes of this mountain. The slideshow is here: Mount Bross hike
Hiked up this incredibly broad summit in the middle of the night.
Another beautiful day in Colorado.
Via the standard DeCaLiBro route.
Nice views of the surrounding peaks. Rotten descent of the western slopes.
Windy, ice and snow.
Climbed the 4 peaks on the 4th of July
I've been up 2 times. Once solo, and then I brough friends that have nevered climbed. Good one for beginners.
We hit Bross after Mt. Lincoln. Certainly an unexciting summit, especially compared to the dramatic slopes of Lincoln, but a worthy peak nonetheless.
