Tagged this after doing the North Ridge of Democrat. Could not bring myself to do the Decalibron, it would feel like stealing.
Climbed with C. Stephens...lost exposed roll of film here which I discovered missing on Mount Lincoln and subsequently recovered.
The only thing this "summit" had to offer was raging winds and -20 temps on the way over to Lincoln. Glad I got it out of the way though.
Big pile of rocks.
i knew this was a summit was the pole
Done as part of the Decalibron.
Climbed it with Lincoln, Democrat and Bross.
Nice hike after Independence Day. I hiked through Cameron after summiting Bross and before summiting Democrat and Lincoln.
hiked over cameron on the way to a wind-hammered lincoln a few winters back.
Came up Lincoln Amphitheater and got all 4 (Lincoln, Bross, Cameron and Democrat) before having to bail down to Kite Lake because of a storm. Found a nice couple to give me a ride back over to my car.
Part of the loop from Kite Lake
So close to Lincoln . . .
Perfect, sunny day.
I like Cameron. It seems many do not care for it, but I for one enjoy the feeling of a high rounded summit, plus the views from the north slope are fantastic. It was climbed twice on this day, as I summited Lincoln and ran back to join my wife descending Cameron.
cold and windy day
This was the hardest mountain of the day for some reason. Anyway this was combined with Democrat, Lincoln and Bross.
Revisited the remainder of the DeCaLiBron after tagging Mt. Democrat last year. Cameron's an ugly summit, but was by far the most difficult part of the route other than the slippery scree descent down Bross. Gorgeous but windy day!
Did Bross first, then Lincoln and finally Cameron. Strangle summit though, only spend a couple of minutes there to take a picture. I really like the entire area though; very nice views.
Having climbed Democrat last October, decided to get the other three. Cloudy, windy day, with very few chances to see the views from the summits - all in the clouds. Interesting hike all the same - circuit from Kite Lake. Glad the summit was so rounded, since I could hardly stand up in the wind.
