Mount Saint Nicholas

Mount Saint Nicholas

Taken in February 2009 from Highway 2. This isolated peak stands at 9376 ft / 2858 m above sea level in the Nyack Area of Glacier National Park in Western Montana. This area is remote and home to a diversity of wildlife including the gtizzly bear. It was first climbed in 1920. Distance from the road via trails and climbing routes is about 18 miles. The Mount Saint Nicholas

Oh man!!!!!!!

This mountain, with a little snow on it, could give the best of,em a run for their money. It looks more like the Matterhorn than the Matterhorn peak of the Sierras.

2012 works for me. I am pretty fried by this time of year. I have just a few more trips in me for a while.
