Windy. Not much snow on the ridge, only in spots. Nice cornices!
Great quick workout almost any time of year.
With rkymtn from Loveland Pass. - Have climbed a couple of times since.
My first 13er. It was really windy, should have taken my kite.
Hiked up with my wife. Some snow still out, very nice day, great views, and hardly a cloud in the sky.
very nice day out...
Really warm day for end of November. But, as usual here, the wind was blowing hard and I had to climb below the ridge crest.
With Dad and Erin. Winter doesn't look very promising yet. I bet almost a hundred people climbed Sniktau today. Silly!
Climbed a couple of times
This is a nice trip over several 13ers, starting from Loveland Pass, I went over Cupid to Grizzly and than back to Sniktau. My plann to go for Torreys and Grays didn't work due to stormy weather.
I was bored so I did this round trip from my house in Lakewood in 3 hours 40 minutes.....always a little rough starting at 11,900 but this is a very easy hike with nice views.
Great 360 degree views...
...especially if you want to leave the snowshoes at home. Combo with Cupid each time up.
Nice hike up the mountain today. Windy in spots, but the view was amazing.
Climbed during a traverse from Loveland Pass to Lenawee Mountain and finally to A-Basin. Sniktau by far had the most beautiful snow ridges of the route and GREAT views.
Third time up, this time with Cupid and Grizzly. Nice fall day, chilly but sunny and calm and not too much snow on the trail.
Started up from Loveland Pass at 7:58AM and reached the high ground junction at 12915' which proved to be the crux of this route. Then over unnamed point at 13152' and on to Mount Sniktau summit at 8:57 while passing through 2" of fresh snow along the way. Back to the TH at 9:57 on this fine morning.........Sweet!
Hiked from Loveland Pass as an acclimation climb. Had the summit all to myself. Great views make this a worthy outing.
Hiked James Peak earlier in the day. This made for a nice evening hike with great views. Saw the sunset on the descent.
Hiked up with some friends who were heading back to the 100+ degree heat in Texas. Got to watch hundred of cyclists suffering up Loveland Pass during the Triple Bypass.
