To those who have added to this page, thanks. I was the original submitter and I am glad to see that much good info has been added since it was put up for adoption. I have only been there once and failed at my summit attempt which probably was reflected in the "weak or minimal" amount of info I originally included on the page. A very good page now! 4-stars.
Nice page with lots of good information and tips! I just added a trip report link to Chris Anthony's trip report for his ascent with the Warren Miller 50 crew as a ski mountaineer. Great reading.
Sure, have fun! its a great place, but seriously, keep your eyes open for muggers. Just being aware i think goes along way and wondering out at night. Just be careful and youll be fine.
the climbing is great and well worth the trip!
we are thinking about going back to Chimborazo as well. We'll see.
I didn't know the dollarization process has become official. It was under way the two times I was in Ecuador, but the dollars could not be used at all in some rural areas. It was even offensive to try in some parts. I now read the declaration of making it official in 2002 and get rid of the Sucre until economical stability is reached.
You also made me have a look at the page and it's much better now as, many changes has been made.

Untitled CommentGood work thanks for the improvement. A gear list would be helpful. What foot gear would be best. Cheers William

Untitled CommentThe page is starting to show its age. SP1 format. No updates on condition of the mountain or Ecuador. Solid page, just a little age.
