Thanks, Jon. In July 2004 I summitted Hesperus from the north. It's an impressive looking peak, but the scree slog up to its west ridge was close to unbearable! Someday I'd like to try Babcock; have to get motivated for the 8-hr drive though!
Thanks, mountaingazelle! BTW, I notice you're doing the Utah county hp's. Have you seen cohp.org? It's fun to put up a completion map. I'm hoping to get my first Utah hp in August when I head out there for a wedding.
Yes, I have seen cohp.org. I am not a die-hard county highpointer like some people are. I just climb them if I happen to be in the area. Which one are you planning on climbing while in Utah?
