This area has already been added to my growing list of places I want to see.
Any idea where the name "Storm King" came from, or who named it? I really love that name. There was a small mountain in NY near where I went to college with the same name. Definitely one of the coolest names for a mountain.
"Storm King" is an oft-used toponym. There are four such names for peaks in WA and they're all different sorts of peaks. High, low, forested, alpine, east of Pacific Crest, west of Pacific Crest.

Untitled CommentAmazing mountains. Who would think that the Grenediers, which are probably not as long as the Tetons, would be part of such a long fault block?
