Re: Looks exposed!We didn't rope up. The holds were very good and we just took our time and were very careful. You're right though, I fall there probably wouldn't be a good idea.

Re: Holy Sh*t!I didn't even pay attention to see what the pro looked like. The party we were following did have a rope in case one of their members got scared (she didn't), but I think they would have just hip belayed her from the top. The hard part is so short (20'-30') that setting up anchors and placing protection would just take a lot of time and effort. It's better just to grit your teeth and go for it IMHO.
If that looks scary and you're willing to carry a rope and harness then you might as well go N-to-S so you don't have to worry about pro (just bring some webbing and a couple of rap rings).
