Route Description

You start at the Gramaialm and you follow the signs to the Lamsenjochhütte. The path will head left and up to 1500m where it leads to the Lamsenkar where after 1,5h the Lamsenjochhütte will be reached.

There you can take the via ferrata (see on routes section) or follow the normal way up towards the east face and you will have the first steel cable section (above picture) before you reach the Lamsscharte.

Here you take the way to the right. If you would take the path to the left, you can reach the exit of the via ferrata and also the summit of Hochnissl.

After some climbing (pictures on the left), always secured with steel cables over exposed areas, you will reach the summit in about 1h from the Lamsscharte.
