This "old" photo taken by an unknown photographer shows the south slopes of Navajo Peak (on the right) and Arikaree Peak (on the left). Is that a summit cairn on Arikaree ??? I wonder who put that there. Looks like this picture was taken from the summit of Kiowa Peak in the forbidden watershed of the snooty City of Boulder, Colorado ... but what do I know. Snooty is right

But what else would you expect from the People's Republic of Boulder? It amazes me that people, cities and other entities have come to OWN mountains. No one should own a mountain. But that is the way things are. Thanks for this wonderful shot, even if no one was there to take it. Arikaree is a beautiful mountain.
