I am really enjoyning this new Camera. Much improved on the older Coolpix 5000. Functions are much simpler and quicker. 8 mega pixels is definately better. Where as the 5000 only had Fine as the highest pixel setting this one features extra fine and Camera Raw. You can also use it as a movie camera.

I posted the price in USD listed on the website. But my insurance company paid $840.00 Canadian. Small and compact the 24 mm wide angle to 85 lens is perfect for mountain shots. The case supplied is the only downside. It is too small in my opinion. Once you add extra rechargeable batteries and one extra card. You have to fight to get it to fit. Not something I am looking forward to at altitude. So I may not bring the case.

Great compromise between the convenience of a point-n-shoot and the image quality of a dSLR. Only modification I have added is a polarizing lens. Takes great pics, just check out my profile for examples! ;)
