Yes, it was fun and Ouzel Falls are really pretty. It would have been even more fun had I not missed a critical turn on the trail and so added about 3 miles to the total distance... Thanks for your vote!
brenta, great page. I have been eying this one for a while, the view from Bluebird is very nice. I may be headed up to the park on Weds for a long dayhike of Nakai, I'll let you know how it goes if I make it. BTW, are you soloing your recent mountains?
Oh yea, just an idea-It would be nice to get an occasional break in the action while reading your overviews, you know, starting new paragraphs. Example- Ouzel Peak with one to either (or both) of its neighbors. The difficulties along this stretch of the Divide never exceed class 2. There are several ways to attain the watershed from southern Wild Basin. I would start a new paragraph inbetween these two sentences.
Yes, I "soloed" a few times recently. I guess the decline in photo quality gives it away...
Nakai should be very nice. I only know that part of RMNP from pictures and Roach's book, but it seems one of those places where one feels a million miles away from all that is wrong in the world. The south and east aspects shouldn't have much snow left from what I saw last Saturday. Have fun!

Untitled CommentAfter 15 years in Colorado, I'm amazed at how many mountains are there that I know little or nothing about. Thanks for your vote!
