Someone has been sandbagging your page, Gordon--it's a very good one. You might add a little more concrete info about the ski descents. I will look in one of my guidebooks at some point and give you the info if you can't find any yourself.

whoever voted less then 3 or 4 stars has to be on crack.
Another well done page, Gordon. One thing that might be nice would be approach information such as mileage & elevation gain (to help one determine if it is a day hike or multi-day excursion). Thanks for the fine representation of a worthy Sierra peak!
He very likely did the southwest slope via horse creek pass route. He spent 2 nights on the mountain, and he didn't climb anything harder than 2nd class. There are no other class 2 routes approaching from the north.

Untitled CommentI'm almost certain this is THE western peak I'm headed for next year. Finally, after all these years of waiting to head out west.

Untitled CommentI'm curious to know what route Kerouac attempted in "Dharma Bums," anyone familiar enough with the mountain and the book to figure it out?

aprilWould attempting the mountain in April be much harder due to snow?

Re: aprilYes it should be a little harder but if you're experienced with ice axe and crampons you should be fine.
